HB 2530 HD1   RELATING TO AIR POLLUTION CONTROL PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
HSCR 344-00   Clarifies that the department of health need only publish notification
           for participation in air pollution control matters once in the county
           affected. (JHA,FIN)

HB 2529 HD1   RELATING TO SAFE DRINKING WATER.
HSCR 381-00   Distinguishes the certification of distribution system operators from
           the certification of water treatment plant operators. (JHA/CPC,FIN)

HB 2528 HD1   RELATING TO SAFE DRINKING WATER.
HSCR 263-00   Clarifies penalties for violations of chapter 340E, Hawaii Revised
           Statutes. (JHA,FIN)

HB 2524       RELATING TO PROPHYLACTICS.
HSCR 142-00   Repeals the statutory requirement for rules regulating the sale of
           prophylactics. (HLT,FIN)

HB 2510       RELATING TO FOSTER BOARD ALLOWANCES FOR STUDENTS.
HSCR 136-00   Allows the Department of Human Services to pay foster board allowances
           directly to an accredited institution of higher learning. (HSH,FIN)

HB 2506 HD1   RELATING TO PROSPECTIVE ADOPTIVE PARENTS.
HSCR 408-00   Enables Department of Human Services to require criminal history checks
           for prospective adoptive parents.  Authorizes DHS to contract for home
           studies by social workers with specialized adoption experience.
           Defines "prospective adoptive parents". (HSH,JHA,FIN)

HB 2509 HD1   RELATING TO KINSHIP CARE.
HSCR 175-00   Establishes kinship care by providing guidelines under which a person
           may become a kinship provider. (HSH,FIN)

HB 1834 HD1   RELATING TO LONG-TERM CARE.
HSCR 311-00   Extends the sunset date of the Joint Legislative Committee on Long-term
           Care Financing from June 30, 2000, to June 30, 2002.  Extends the
           actuarial study on long-term care from November 15, 1999, to November
           15, 2001.  Clarifies requirements for the actuarial study. (HSH,FIN)
